ReScape Landscape Highlights

  • To improve carbon sequestration through vegetative growth, underlying soils were uncompacted, existing soils removed, and organic compost and topsoil was installed.

  • Three of the five median islands were converted from their potable water source to recycled water from the EBMUD wastewater treatment plant.

  • All irrigation controllers are weather sensing and self adjusting to environmental conditions.

  • The installed plant palate provides improved biodiversity and drought tolerance while also reducing energy consumption related to shearing and mechanical maintenance.
